Geneva (ENI). The escalation of violence against women can't be separated from the prolific levels of violence unleashed by powerful global forces, says the World Alliance of Reformed Churches in its annual International Women's Day messege. The church alliance messege for the day backs another one by the director general of the World Health Organization, Dr Margaret Chang. She notes that: "This year's International Women's Day is devoted to ending impunity for violance against women and girls". Chang says, "the health of women is given far too little space in plans for development and too little attention in many health agends."
